A fruit very rich in vitamin C (more than an orange), kiwi is widely used in all diets for its many benefits.

Choosing fleshy, fragrant kiwis is half the battle to make them sweeter.

When it comes to knowing when to eat a kiwi, your best ally is your thumb. The test is done by touching the skin.

If the texture of the kiwi is mushy after a light squeeze and your fingerprint remains, this is a sign that it is very ripe. On the other hand, if you don't see any marks, the kiwi is still very green.

Useful Tips:

To help your kiwis ripen faster, place them with bananas, apples or pears at room temperature for two to three days.

If you want to slow down the ripening process, keep them in the fridge.
